![]() ![]() She inspired such sadness that Ripley, Jack’s daemon, who was far from the most friendly animal, spent a lot of time licking Easter’s ears. ![]() The Daemon’s name was Easter, and was unmistakably Peter’s.Įaster was sluggish and tired, spending days asleep on the mantle place, or at the foot of Jack’s bed. He opened the window to let her in and she padded in, looking so wretched and upset it broke his heart. He knew, and he felt a deep well of sadness so great it nearly overwhelmed him, so great that when he first laid eyes on her, he couldn’t work up the nerve to approach the window for fifteen full minutes. Even though she’d been a bird the last time he’d seen her, Jack knew. It was ordinary-looking, a smallish American Shorthair with a swirled orange coat and pointy ears, but Jack knew her for what she was. The cat appeared on Jack Riley Quill’s windowsill the day after Peter disappeared. Rocket shakes his head, turning away, “Freak.” He muttered. “You know,” Peter interlaced his fingers meaningfully, “Part of each other. “Are you and Groot, you know,” He fumbles with his words and gestures, “’One’?” Peter’s head jerked up, and he looked sheepish. Rocket was tugging his shirt on, wincing at the orange disinfectant in his scars, when the staring starts to irritate him. He was so preoccupied that it takes him a few moments to notice the guard with his walkman and go after him. The human wouldn’t stop looking at him and glancing at Groot. But the look on Peter’s face when he heard Rocket’s voice was first surprise, then childlike wonder. On the whole, when Rocket opened his mouth around someone for the first time he gets a mix of reactions: shock, disgust, anger, sneering. The weirdest thing about Peter, Rocket finds, was his reaction to him hearing Rocket speak. The pain in his chest got worse when he thought about his daemon or his mother, so he didn’t, hoping the pain will go away entirely. He liked to think he can remember Earth crystal-clear, but things he liked to reminisce about Earth were quickly over shadowed by stuff he needed to know to survive-various laws and the loopholes in them, which planets have the best booze, which law enforcement squads have the fastest ships, when it’s safe to raid the ship’s parlor-that he ended up spending whole afternoons trying to remember his childhood friend’s names and favourite TV shows. He lost her so long ago Peter couldn’t really remember what having a daemon felt like. Yondu sure as hell didn’t, and neither did Peter, by the look in his eye. Peter fit so well into the Ravagers ranks that some people start to forget the rocky start. He was such a pain to look after at first, but the Ravagers found it hard to get angry at someone who was so pathetic-looking. At moments he was dull-eyed and slow, next he was quick witted and sly. ![]() Over the next few months Peter got better in bouts. The crew hadn’t been able to get him to eat anything over the week before, but he was still so unresponsive they nearly had to chew the food for him. In the second week on the ship, Peter stopped crying, having worn himself out. It was in those nights, unable to escape the sounds of a child in pain, that the crew came to a unanimous, unspoken decision. The only thing Yondu could liken it to was someone suffocating. His screams where so loud and constant that it kept them all up at night. He wouldn’t stop screaming and hyper ventillating, having seizure after seizure, kicking and biting wildly. Peter was in fits, completely inconsolable. But when he broke the cloud bank and the animal was whipped away by the wind-it was like something came over the child. The extraction started off fine, he was being beamed up fine, chased by some earth bird that kept changing into smaller, faster shapes. Some were scared and tearful, some were violent, a lot were loud and disobedient. ![]() ![]() ![]() That's all you need to unleash super attacks! (Admin I understand you may have mixed feelings about this post due to GoG being a competitor of sorts, however it would seem that the owners of GoG are in the same position, but feel that making connections is worth the risk. GoG Galaxy is a bloatfest, takes ages to load and depending on the accounts you connect will take ages to finish synchronising. It cannot replace the itch desktop app and requires that you do actually have it installed, though you can launch games with it. I would rate this as a convenience and no more. It is worth using the batch file with only the plugins you want, because by default that updater will grab all the plugins from the main "awesome" list. (C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\GOG.com\Galaxy\plugins\installed) You don't have to do this but it saves duplication if you then use the updater, because some of the files do actually get pulled but not all. ![]() Then unpack the contents of the ZIP to the correct Galaxy plugin folder. ![]() This creates the unique folders the updater will use. I used with a batch file where I added "itch". The release ZIP is complete but the author has not put everything in the repo, so it does not install properly with the plugin updaters people have made for the Awesome Galaxy collection Note: This isn't amazingly useful, but helps with seeing an overview of all your games in 1 place, and you can compare how much time is spent playing games from each distributor.Ĭurrently it has basic support, but there is an itch.io plugin for the GoG Galaxy desktop app. ![]() ![]() ![]() Shoot down Scarecrow, who’s still flying somehow, and you’ll have Batgirl’s attention. Jump down and construct the bricks to create a rubber ducky turret only Penguin can use. Now Clayface is on the scene! Enter the vent and attack the big brown crate on the left high balcony. Launch up to the high balcony, and recruit three Penguin henchmen to help pull down the grapple hook door. You can play as Penguin, too! Go to the crash site, and construct the hopping bricks to create a spring. That’s when Batgirl arrives, causing Scarecrow to crash land. Construct the pieces that fly out to lock Nightwing up. You’ll need to attack him, until he appears on the right balcony - knock him into the aquarium, and use Riddler to interact with the Riddle Box. Construct the bricks, and hop into Scarecrow’s biplane! Too bad Nightwing shows up to spoil the fun.Īs Catwoman (and Riddler) defeat Nightwing. Now Two-Face can blast silver LEGO bricks! While trying to escape with all their cool stuff, the villains crash into Penguin’s Iceberg Lounge. Flip the switch, and then smash the cracked floor with giant Clayface to enter the Evidence Room. At the top of the stairs, use Riddler to mind-control the cop in the office with a “?” symbol over his head. Remove the gate! Interact with the orange power handles, with giant Clayface. On the other side, hold to grow with Clayface! In giant form, he can break cracked walls or pull orange power handles. On the other side, spraypaint-explode the wall and use Clayface to slip through the vent. She has a short memory, so the door will open. Use Clayface, and he’ll transform into Gordon. The gate is still locked! To get through, find the lady at the desk. Build all the piles of bricks and flip the switch to hack the security system. Swing on the acrobat poles as Riddler, and smash everything in the upper office. Collect up the minions with Riddler and create a ladder. To get by the new security system, smash the green / purple locks on the cells and build a henchmen pad. Now you can flip the switch and travel deeper into the GCPD. Just like before, target the vent to spread the Fear Toxin into the room. Collect the ingredients with Scarecrow and use them to make the toxin! Smash the board, then use Riddler’s spraypaint to blast the wall. Target the spider web on the window to get a second ingredient. Use Riddler to follow his clue-sense to dig up an ingredient. The first ingredient is found when you smash the stuff left of Gordon’s office. Smash the desks on the third floor and construct to create a Fear Toxin mixer. It’s under lockdown, so Scarecrow needs to cook up some Fear Toxin. On the other side, beat up the cop barricade and go up to the third floor. Inside the GCPD, you’ll take control of Riddler, Scarecrow, and Clayface! Smash the desks and computers in the first area, then construct to create a vent. Scarecrow will join you, and it’s off to the GCPD building! Go to the right side and target the vent with Joker to fill the room with Laughing Gas. The final Minikit is also in the Iceberg Lounge area. Switch to a character with super strength, then approach the cracked bed and tap the attack button to break it open. From the start of the area, go right up the carpet stairs to find a truck. The fourth Minikit is in the Iceberg Lounge. After the enemies are defeated, one of the elevator cars will open to reveal the Minikit. Destroy everything there to create a glowing brick pile in front of the two elevators. Near the right side of the room is a white board with some clutter paper. It's located at the top floor before entering the second area. The third Minikit is also in the GCPD area. Switch to Cheetah and dig it up to get the Minikit. A dig spot sits in the middle of the floor. It's located on the left side of the first room after the first flight of stairs. The second Minikit is also in the GCPD area. Switch to Killer Frost and extinguish the flames and bricks on the left to reveal it. It's located immediately to the left of the starting spot. ![]() |
